The process
Here’s what to expect when we work together.
Free consultation
20-minute call over Google Meet
We’ll discuss your space, what’s working, what’s not, and what you’re hoping to accomplish. I’ll explain how I work and answer any questions.
By the end, you’ll have a clear sense of how we’d work together and what’s possible for your space, with no pressure to commit.
Understand your space
When we meet in your home, we’ll walk through the space together and I’ll ask lots of questions about how you use it.
I want to understand your routines, what frustrates you most, and what feels harder than it should. That gives me what I need to create a system that’s intuitive, easy to maintain, and built around the way you live.
Sort & declutter
We’ll group similar items so we can see exactly what you have. Then we’ll decide what to:
- Keep
- Donate
- Relocate
- Recycle
- Toss
You make the final call on your belongings.
Design your system
Once we know what’s staying, I’ll design a layout around your home and your routines.
Things you use most stay within easy reach.
Things you use less often go where they make sense.
Everything gets a home.
Product sourcing (if needed)
If products would help, I’ll take measurements, research options, and send you product recommendations to approve. Once you approve them, I can handle the ordering.
Put everything in place
I’ll organize everything into its new home.
Labels are added whenever they’ll make life easier for you or your family.
Final walkthrough
We’ll walk through the finished space together and make any final adjustments. I’ll show you where everything lives, so you feel confident maintaining it after the project ends.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?+
I offer 4-hour-minimum sessions at $85/hour.
If I purchase organizing products for you, you’ll reimburse the product cost plus any transportation needed to bring them to your home.
How long will my project take?+
Timing depends on the size of the space, how much we’re sorting through, and what you’d like to accomplish. After our first session, I’ll have a better idea of how much time the rest of the project may take.
Do I need to be there the whole time?+
Not the whole time, but I’ll need your input at key points.
We’ll work together to decide what to keep, design your new system, and review any product recommendations. In between, many clients choose to work from home, take meetings, run errands, or spend time with their family while I continue organizing.
Do you work with what I already have?+
Absolutely. Buying containers is never the goal. Creating a system that works for you is.
I’ll start with the containers, baskets, furniture, and other organizing products you already own. If something new would make the space more functional, I’ll take measurements, research options, and send you a list of recommendations.
You can order the products yourself, or I can order them for you.
What areas do you serve?+
I’m based in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn and primarily work with clients throughout Brooklyn and nearby neighborhoods in Manhattan and Queens.
